Sowa Rigpa: Foundations of the
Healing Science of Tibetan Medicine
with Dr. Eric Rosenbush | 30-Hour Study at Your Own Pace Online Course
Learn the foundations of Sowa Rigpa, the healing science of Tibet and the Himalayas. This course will present essential principles of health, disease, and a spectrum of therapeutic techniques. Following the tradition of the Root Tantra, the introductory text studied by all Tibetan doctors for centuries, essential principles of the medical system will be introduced using the visual learning system of metaphorical tree paintings. This system is simple yet profound, and helps to establish a context where we can understand the dynamics of how to maintain balance in body and mind, and how to rectify imbalances leading to disease.
All are welcome, from beginners to experienced therapists of all traditions. While this course is the first step on the journey to become a Sowa Rigpa practitioner, it is useful for anyone wishing to learn how to understand and maintain health in their own bodies. It is like a user manual for being embodied, according to the wisdom of Tibetan medicine.
If you cannot attend live sessions, lifetime access to course re-plays are provided.
This course is equivalent to the TTM 1.1 course offered by Sorig Khang International, a network of Sowa Rigpa educational centers around the world under the guidance of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang. Completing this course, students can continue on with future studies in Tibetan Medicine at Menla or other Sorig Khang centers.
Existing Sorig Khang students who have studied the Root Tantra previously are welcome to revisit the class at a discounted rate. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
